Senior Minister Sun Chanthol: It Is A Matter Of Pride That Our Flag Has Been Hoisted The Highest

Phnom Penh: The Minister of Public Works and Transport, Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, said that it is a matter of pride that the Cambodian flag was hoisted at the top as the Cambodian players won.

The Senior Minister said this while meeting with 49 swimming athletes at the Ministry of Public Works on the evening of May 4, 2023.

Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, who is also president of the Swimming Federation of Cambodia, urged all athletes to work hard at the SEA Games to win the national gold medal.

He said it was a matter of great excitement and pride that the Cambodian flag was hoisted higher after the match.

At the same time, he also reminded Prime Minister's remark to all players to compete fairly according to their ability, no use of prohibited products in the competition, because all players are to represent the whole nation of Cambodia.

It should be noted that swimming has also been included in the SEA Games. The swimming competition will start on May 6, 2023.

On the evening of May 4, 2023, Cambodia won five gold medals, leading the SEA Games gold medalists, followed by the Philippines with two gold medals and Thailand with one gold medal.
